Here are some of the questions ,Kings Norton Wedding Photographer – What a Picture Photography ,get asked often in discussions about wedding photography.
If it is a venue that we haven’t worked before then we do a site visit to enaure that we are familiar with the location and to ensure that we have our wet weather plan worked out. If it is a church ceremony often we will come to the rehearsal to meet the officiant at the same time and check on any restrictions that they may have.
When will we see our images?
Normally we try and turn the images round within 10 days but it may take a little longer if we are particularly busy. There is usually 2-4 weeks after that for the album to be produced.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We are always ready for the inevitable British weather interventions. If we need to stay indoors we carry lighting equipment to enable us to get the images that you need. If possibe we will try and get outside with the bride and groom at some time as clouds and puddles can make for some great shots.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully covered for our activities. We also advise our couples to take out insurance against the need to cancel or rearrange the wedding. As most expenditure is due before the wedding day a cancellation can be costly.
When do we have to finalise our account?
The balance is payable 4 weeks before the wedding although any extra purchases such as wall art are payable at the time of ordering.
How long do you spend at the wedding?
We only cover one wedding per day. We usually cover from preparation until, theoretically, the first dance. We have yet to leave a wedding that early though. We love weddings so we tend to stick around for a while.
Should we get wedding insurance?
Yes. Every part of the wedding jigsaw has possibility of a failure at a critical point. Wedding insurance is something that we would consider essential.
